Because of his intelligence, he becomes bullied by his classmates, who believe him to be stuck-up and arrogant because of his smarts. Summary: Kiyomaru Takamine is an academic prodigy at the age of 14, easily outsmarting everyone in his class and even the teachers who teach at his school. I have watched the anime, but I love the manga a lot more and I will explain why in another post. Also, I’m only going to be addressing the Manga, so please don’t get angry at me if I don’t mention anything from the anime. I’m more familiar with the English version, so don’t freak out on me if I keep calling the protagonist Mamodo “Zatch” instead of his Japanese name, which is “Gash”.
